In 2025, I was commissioned by the Museum of Brisbane to photograph the textile printing process at Textile Publishers (NSW), whose fabrics are used by Indigenous fashion label Magpie Goose. The work forms part of the exhibition Stories You Wear: Magpie Goose (on show from November 2025 to October 2026), which explores clothing as a powerful medium for storytelling. Using traditional, hands-on printing methods, Textile Publishers meticulously reproduce designs by First Nations artists. Photographing their labour-intensive processes, precision, and craftsmanship offered a deeper insight into the skill, care, and passion behind the work—revealing the unseen moments that bring these stories to life.
